TRUE CINNAMON: CEYLON'S FINEST

Updated: Mar 28

Ceylon Cinnamon, originating from Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon), has been cultivated and traded by native Sinhalese people for centuries. This sacred spice was highly respected in ancient rituals and ceremonies. Traded extensively along the Silk Road and maritime routes, Ceylon Cinnamon was prized by civilizations such as the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and Chinese, often used as currency, gifts, and offerings to royalty.

Today, Sri Lanka remains the world's largest producer of Ceylon Cinnamon, accounting for 80-90% of global production. As a Geographical Indication (GI) product, Ceylon Cinnamon's unique heritage and quality are recognized and protected.
