About the Recipe

Ingredients

1-2tsp Kashmiri Green tea leaves

10-12 strands Indian Saffron

1inch Amara Spices C5 Ceylon Cinnamon

1-2 Amara Spices Lal Pari Cloves

2-3 pods Green Cardamom, lightly crushed

1/2tsp dried rose petals

4-5 Almonds, slivered

Raw forest honey, to taste

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, add 2-3 cups of water. Add crushed green cardamom, Amara Spices C5 Ceylon cinnamon, Amara Spices Lal Pari cloves, dried rose petals, and most of the saffron strands.

  2. Bring the water to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavor and aroma.

  3. Switch off the heat. Add the Kashmiri green tea leaves to the pot.

  4. Cover the pan with a lid and let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. Do not boil the green tea leaves, as this make the tea bitter.

  5. Strain the hot tea directly into the cups. Add the slivered almonds and the remaining saffron strands.

  6. Add honey to taste, mix well, and serve immediately.
